Turn off Auto-Recovery Files from loading in Photoshop

Hi There -

How do I turn off Photoshop from auto-loading recovery files?  The Reveal Finder option doesn't work, but i want this to be a solution so I don't have to manually close each file everyday.  I want to load the program, without it loading the previous items I had worked on.

If you do not want to use the feature you can uncheck Photoshop > Preferences > File Handling > Automatically Save Recovery Information Every.

Thanks.  I've done that already so many times.  How can I make sure that when I save it, actually saves?  It seems like whenever I uncheck it and click save, it doesn't do a thing.  The problem still comes back.  Possible bug?

Possible bug?

Seems unlikely,  maybe you have a permissions issue, see

Do you have administrator rights?
