Twist and turn layers

Question

I have a photo which I'm placing on my artboard. It's a screenshot, I want to twist and skew it so it looks as if it's leaning back slightly and is on a 30-45deg angle away from me on the left side.

it's hard to descibe but the left side will be 'further away' so smaller.

Any tips on what tools I can use?

You would want the photo on its own layer, and converting it to a Smart Object would let you edit non-destructively.

You would then select that layer and Free Transform it, using the modifier keys. Control lets you skew (by dragging the side handles) or distort (by dragging the corner handles). Alt will make the movement out from center.
