Type is Distorted by Default

Hello! About a week ago, whenever I'd start adding text in Photoshop CC, the text will be distorted right away, as in it'll be horizontally scaled. I will have to correct it to 130% for horizontal scale in order to get the correct proportions for the text, regardless of the font I'm using.

Is someone else experiencing this? Or did I unintentionally pressed a shortcut that affects how Photoshop handles type?

I would reset the text tool preferences, but how are you scaling it back - though the character dialog box?

The little gear at the left on the main menu/tool bar. You can also just reset all your preferences.
