Typing Tool Issue

I recently updated my photoshop to CC2020, and now I have a strange issue. Whenever I type the same keystroke rapidly, it sometimes doesn't register all of my keypresses. For example, when I type an elipses like the following "..." it will register only two of the presses. Its the same when I backspace as well, where if I press backspace rapidly to clear some text, it will only backspace once or twice, and stop. This is rather frustrating, as I tend to type a lot using photoshop. I've searched far and wide and couldn't find any option to fix this issue. Some clarity on this would be awesome, thank you.

Edit: Here is a video showing the issue https://drive.google.com/file/d/1pFRo44h0pYe-T4VN6g1jWoJ0GPgR1Ji-/view?usp=sharing

Have you tried resetting the Photoshop Preferences? Look for the Reset Preferences On Quit button within the General tab of the Photoshop Preferences.

Here is a video demonstrating my issue. You can hear my keystrokes, and see on the typing tool not all of the strokes are showing. I even do it on the fonts bar to show that it works fine on it. Any help would be appreciated.https://drive.google.com/file/d/1pFRo44h0pYe-T4VN6g1jWoJ0GPgR1Ji-/view?usp=sharing

That seemed to fix it. Thank you so much!

Can you please confirm that this is only happening in Photoshop. Does it also occur in other programs? If so, perhaps it is an Operating System issue.

Yes I can confirm that is only happening with Photoshop specifically the type tool. I don't have the issue searching for fonts or naming a save for example, it only happens when I try to use the type tool to type something into an image.
