Question

UI size increase beyond 200%

My problem is very simple.

I am short sighted, so I have difficulty in seeing the elements (icons, texts, menus, etc.) of photoshop CC 2019.

Obviously, I tried to scale the text and icons by the preferences--> Interface --> Font size (and scale icons to font) menu.

But still, also with 200% increase, texts and icon are waaay to small for me. I've searched on forums and so on, but no one seems to know a way to further increase the text and icons of the UI.

I would estimate that in order for my eyes not to hurt after, like, 20 minutes of work - I would need something like a 400% or even 500% zoom.

I am on a Mac OSX Mojave. Yes, I tried to open the photoshop app in lower resolution, but it's still not sufficient for my poorly functioning eyes.

Does anyone knows how to further enlarge the UI? Is there even a way to do it?

Thank you

Hello, are you already using the zoom in accessibility in MacOS' system Preferences?

Yes, I tried the zoom function in the accessibillity menu (and the other OSX options): it works, but it has strong downsides. The first is that the gestures required for the zoom ON the interface are the same required for the zoom of the photoshop contents. And the second is that constantly zooming in and out is time consuming and distracting.

After all I am not using an open source free project for fun, but a pricey professional software for working - so I would like to find a proper solution, not a suboptimal workaround.

Anyway, obviously thank you for trying to help.

I was wondering then if it would be possible to use another resolution on the external monitor.

Anyways, if you wish to enter a feature request for scaling options beyond 200%, the proper venue would be https://feedback.photoshop.com

What screen/monitor are you using?

How big in inches, and what resolution?

My sight is not great, so I use a 32 inch 2560 X 1440 pixel monitor at 100% UI size.  I hate working on laptops.

Actually for me it's the opposite. Usually when I'm not at work or home, I'm using a Mac mid 2015 retina - and everything is fine for my eyes on this laptop.

The problem arise when I connect the mac to my monitor - Dell P2416Db, 2560x1440, 23.75 inch. In this case, icons and text become really small. Switching to a monitor as yours, with greater size but the same density of pixels, would probably solve the problem. But I just find hard to believe that there is no software solution to this issue.
