I'm just trying to drag a png of my signature onto a pdf.  Never had a problem with it before.  Does not appear to be a preferences issue.  Only change is that I added PS onto a second computer.  Need help ASAP.  Thanks!

Be sure both picture have the same Color Mode (Cmyk/RGB/Grayscale)
Be sure your signature PNG file(or destination file - PDF) is 24 bit PNG - not 8 bits image (if is - convert it to RBB - Image>Mode>RGB and try to drag)

    maybe helps

Photoshop edits Photoshop documents not files. Photoshop save different image files type from open documents like PSD jpeg tiff pdf etc. .  Please explained how you add your signature png into a Photoshop document? Place, Paste, duplicate layers, an action, a script. What is failing for you. For example Drag and Drop is not adding a layer anywhere in you document layer stack for example. Where are you dragging your png file from. I use a script myself to place, size and position my png image..

It a small easy script to customize for your png.
