Unable to move my shape in Photoshop

Question

I have a new project open and placed new elipse in it's own layer. I'm trying to move the shape using the move tool, but it don't moves. I can move it will arrows but not quickly with my mouse? The layer is not locked and the shape is the only object in the layer. What do I need to do to get this sucker to budge?

Try the Path Selection tool — the black arrow (keyboard shortcut "A"). If this doesn't work, show a screenshot that includes your Layers and Tools panels, plus the option bar. Jane
