Update logo in 30 000 book covers

Hi!
How would one do this? Logo is in the same place in all covers.

Plan A would be to remove the old one with AI and then place the new logo.

Plan B would be to add a black box over the old one and add the new one on top of the black box.

Any suggestions?

Thank you both. The action works great with generative fill and a new logo on top of that. Around 10s per cover så around 3.5 days for all 30k.

Thanks!

Generative fill is much slower than content-aware fill, however it often does a better job, but it depends on the image. You may wish to use content-aware fill instead!

Please provide sample covers and the replacement logo. (Feel free to pixelate or blacken sensitive parts.)

Do you have the covers only as flat images or as layered files?

Thank you for your reply,
They look like this and are jpg-files.

If using the Remove Tool does not record in an Action make sure »Allow Tool Recording« is checked in the Actions Panel’s flyout-menu.

Great, thanks!
