Updating catalogs if new version installed

If I update to Photoshop Elements 2020 will I have to update each catalog individually?  I have used Photoshop Elements for many years and with every new version I have failed to find a way to automatically update all existing catalogs.  I have thousands of images in over 120 catalogs and have refused the last few versions for fear that I would have to update each catalog individually.  Is there a simpler way?
