"Use Graphics Processor" causing performance issues
Hey,
I'm a concept artist, and I recently have had issues with my new iMac Pro and my Macbook Pro using the Graphics Processor option in the Performance tab. The problem relates only to when I'm using custom shapes.
If I turn off the "Use Graphics Processor", the custom shapes work fine, but then my brushes lag more and I can't change image size and free transform and so on smoothly. If I turn it on, the rest of the software works nicely but the custom shapes are incredibly slow and sometimes even freezes my entire Photoshop.
This works flawlessly on my old 2012 PC, but I feel that having bought an iMac Pro for $10.000 in 2018 should be able to handle those things...
I called Adobe Support and he only said shut off the Use Graphics Processor, but then everything else is slower.
What can I do to solve this? It seems like a bug or compatibility issue.
Thanks.
W.
