UX/UI problem on the expanded panels

When we expand the top element on the right toolbar it hides the expand of the open windows, so we need to constantly switch the expand, so doing this 8 hours is time and mind consuming, it sucks the happiness away.

    I believe the OP (Ivan-Kemp) is talking about when one has too many documents open to display all the document tabs, photoshop puts all the open documents on a fly-out menu at the right most part of the document tab area.

     

    In photoshop versions after CS5, for example, with the Essentials (Default) workspace or one setup in a similar way, the History panel or any panel in that place virtually blocks the arrows for that aforementioned fly-out menu when too many documents are open to display all the tabs.

      @Jeff Arola Oh, that makes sense. It is still possible to address the issue by undocking the panels on the right in order to access the additional open files.

       

      Alternatives for accessing open files would be to

      • Go the bottom of the Window menu where the open files are also listed and select a file.
      • Go to Window > Arrange... and select a view where the open files can be visible at once and more easily accessed.

        @Myra Ferguson Thank you, that doesn't solve because when we expand a float near the right tool bar it opens off-screen, and its even worse. also a float toolbar covers a bit of the work area.

          Could you please post complete screenshots with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Options Bar, …) visible to clarify what you mean?

          You can not only change your workspace (which has preset locations for various panels) by going to the rectangular icon in the upper right or by going to Window > Workspace... and selecting a workspace. 

           

          You can also rearrange the panels however you like by dragging them, docking them where you like, and hiding or adding other panels. 

           

          Then you can save that arrangement as a custom workspace by selecting New Workspace... either from the icon in the upper right or Window > Workspace...
