v23.0.2 Could not load swatches, unexpected end-of-file encountered on startup

Before and just after upgrading to 23.0.2 I received this error. First time for this type of error message for me. So far doesn't seem to affect other operations, but access to swatches would be nice. I couldn't locate a recent help for this instance.

If you restore your preferences using this manual method does it work correctly?

If that doesn't solve it, you can quit Photoshop and put the Settings folder back.

 

If that fixes it, I'd like to get a copy of the folder.

Have you tried resetting the Photoshop Preferences? They can be found in the Photoshop menu on a Mac and the Edit menu on Windows. Within the General tab is the button Reset Preferences On Quit. This is a general purpose fix but often works.
