I am doing basic editing of 360dg product video (26 seconds long) in Photoshop-mainly camera raw. The problem I believe that I am having is that even after converting to a smart filter at the start I don't believe the filters I am adding in camera raw is applying it to the entire clip? my understanding is that after converting it to a smart filter it should apply it to the entire clip ? Here is my process maybe somebody can tell me what I am doing wrong PLEASE ? after opening........

1. Convert for smart filter

2. Camera raw filter

3. Adjust clarity slider slightly

4. Click on detail tab-increase sharpness

5. Use spot healing brush if necessary (this is definitely not applying to the entire clip )

6. Click Ok & then do a final crop in Photoshop - click render

The video renders no problem but I do not believe that it is applying all that to the entire video, I know for sure the spot healing brush is not.

PLEASE does anybody know why ?

I would think the way the spot healing works in ACR  it may not work well in video layer layer  because the content of frames change so much in a 360dg product  video.  I would think the brush would only work if the spot area and healing area contents did not change through out the video.   ACR is not a video filters that can track an object in a video and heal it. ACR brush points are relative to the videos frame  the video canvas.  Other adjustment that deal with the whole frame may work well with a 360dg product for the scene is not changing.  ACR adjustment would be global for all frames in the video layer.  In a normal video I would not expect making global changes would work in all the videos scenes. The video would more likely need to be segmented  where you would have at least one video layer per scene.

Thanks so much for the reply. I think you have got it spot on, the healing brush does not work because it simply cant track the motion in a 360 video.

I am still unsure about the sharpening I am applying? do you think it is the same issue with the sharpening ? do you think the sharpening is being applied to the full rotation or simply the start? it is really hard to tell during playback ?

Since vibrance and saturation look like they work in each frame in the smart object video layer I would think that any adjustment on  whole frames may work quite well.  I would not think brush type  adjustment would work well if there is motion in the video segment.   A brush stroke is like a selected area.  That selection would not be correct for all frames content.   Photoshop video support is basic,  If you want to do content aware video editing like change the color of  a ribbon in a girl hair as she is jumping rope. You would need to use an advance video editor
