Just been fiddling about with cs4 and realised there is no pressure sensitivity in the brushes - This is a must!!!!

Anyone found this and resolved the issue?

It does it with the previous and latest driver.

Cheers

    Hi All,

I've found a solution that works for my system. First I installed Window's Vista 64 SP2 update, then I uninstalled the old Wacom Bamboo driver and installed the latest one. I had heard bad things about the SP2 update and when I first rebooted I thought oh no here I go again! The Microsoft site said it may take a few reboots to get the thing working. They were right. 4 times and everything worked OK, well you know as OK as Vista 64 ever gets. When I was able to install the new Wacom driver the pressure touch worked fine.  It knew when the pen or mouse was on the pad.

I hope it works for you.

Sorry for the double message. My connection was reseted and I thought the first one wasn't posted.

I"ve discovered a few things about the Photoshop, though. When you move the mouse, the pen pressure turns off, because it recognize you're going to draw with the mouse, it's not a glitch.

To fix this bug, use the latest drivers, but remember to completely uninstall the older ones.

Now I've got another problem. Somehow the OpenGL support turns off and go grey. I need to restart Windows to enable that again. But it happens only at work (ATI X1550) but not at home (Nvidia GTX 285). I'm using the latest drivers and Windows 7 Ultimate x64 (both home and work). If the problem persists I'll open another thread. Cheers

    Works GREAT !!!

    X61 Tablet Lenovo (IBM)

Windows 7 (64 bit) vs Photoshop CS 4

All I did were these pieces:

    1. Remove all device drivers (including ghosted and hidden) from the device manager ( !!! MARK !!! "with drivers and files" when delete)

    - NOT "Tablet Buttons"

    2. Delete all temporary files and the tablet files:
    "C:\Windows\Temp"
    "C:\Users\<User Name>\AppData\Local\Temp"

    3. Install this driver:

    ftp://ftp.wacom-europe.com/pub/WINDOWS/cons511-1_int.exe

    4  Restart

    Yeah! Finally worked for me.

I installed the drive at home and it works like a charm, but at work I was still getting no pen pressure recognition in PS CS4 x64 and getting straight lines in x32 (what was annoying, coz I needed to minimize/maximize PS to make it work again).

My tablet is a generic WP8060 (same as Lapazz). I was trying install the same driver at work with no success. What made it work was:

Uninstall completely the driver, delete the contents in all Temp folders (user and Windows), install it again, restart and try again.

At home I plug my tablet on the front panel, then I tried it at work and got success. Don't know if it changes something but do try other ports too.

The driver that worked for me: http://www.4shared.com/file/136753693/a5d700ed/Driver_501.html

Good luck, guys and thanks for sharing some info.

    Funny.

When following the link there are zero downloads. If you downloaded it there should be at least one download: Correct? Shows it only being uploaded today too.

I would not download this file. A big warning flag pops in my mind.

Photoshop CS4 64 bit works just fine with Wacom tablets.

If you have trouble sensing the pressure - update your tablet driver, or contact Wacom and work with them to determine why the pressure is not working on your system.

I believe it's a Photoshop CS4 64bit issue only, My graphics tablet works perfectly for everything including Photoshop CS4 32bit, and just won't pressure detect in the 64bit version.
64 bit still hasn't matured so I'm not surprised it's still buggy. Best thing to do is let your voice be heard and report these bugs.

But that should NOT matter if "you get what you pay for" were true. Since my previous post was only intended to illustrate the falsehood in that statement, you are actually agreeing with me. And I've repeatedly stated that I have learned my lesson and will not be giving any more money to Trust, ever. But that does not stop me being somewhat bitter about the whole experience.

    Wacom tablets

If you swap to the mouse it would appear that the tablet setting would temporarily disable or at least, Photoshop, becomes unaware of tablet pen input(perhaps logically as there is no information between the pen and the tablet being transmitted), BUT, as soon as the pen makes contact with the tablet it is active again. This is visible when you have the brush panel open and observe the way the brush image changes - despite this - there seems to be no decremental functionality. At least as far as I can see.

A while back, after the Wacom Dec. driver update, I reported 'all ok' with the caveat: "The nature of the problem was that all would be ok for a while then they'd go out so this is tentative and will report back after a week or so".

The problem of losing tools has returned. The workaround - tapping the pad with the stylus 'activates' the tools - still works. Awaiting another Wacom driver update.

    >But in this case, we are talking about two products that cost very similar amounts. So surely we should expect similar levels of service and support?

maybe, but one is the premire supplier of digitizing tablets and similar devices and the other is... who?
