Hi David,

Thanks for reaching out. We're sorry for the trouble with Photoshop. I'd love to help you figure this out.

Could you please share the version of Photoshop & the operating system you are working on? Does this happen with only pen (P) & marquee (M) tool shortcuts?

I have tried using the Pen (P) tool & the marquee (M) tool, and they are behaving as expected on Windows 10 & 11.

Have you tried any troubleshooting steps?

Go to the location of the preference folder mentioned below and rename it to backup.

https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html

  • macOS: In the Finder, hold down the Option key when using the Go menu > Go to /Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings
  • Windows 10/11: Users/[user name]/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop [version]/Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings. You can press Press the Windows key > Enter 'Run' > Enter '%APPDATA%\Adobe

  • Rename the Adobe Photoshop folder by adding a .old at the end. (Adobe Photoshop 2022 > Rename > Adobe Photoshop 2022. old)

These changes will give a fresh start to Photoshop as a fresh install.

For the 2nd issue, we have investigated the error, which has been found reproducible on our end. This is acknowledged and will be worked on by developers in future updates. Currently, workarounds to this are available in this discussion: https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-bugs/p-create-new-window-not-reflecting-right-dimensions-from-clipboard/idc-p/13052738

Let us know if this helps,

Thanks!

2) Versuchen Sie die Einstellung Photoshop > Preferences > General > Ue Legacy »New Document« Interface
