What is "Smooth Brush Resizing?"

Adobe's Photoshop system requirements include a list of features that require a GPU. The last on the list is "Smooth Brush Resizing," and I can't seem to find this phrase defined anywhere in their user guide. Are they talking about the brush tool's shape dynamics or something else?

I believe it's when you hold down the alt key on Win, and right click, then drag up and down and left and right to change the brush size and hardness.

    Thanks, I think you're right! With the brush tool selected, hold down Control + Option (Mac) or Alt + Right Mouse (Windows) and the brush size will change size when you drag left/right.

     

    It looks like this feature was designed to allow users to select their brush size by sight instead of incremental changes using the bracket keys. It also shows a clored preview that can be changed in Preferences>Cursors>Brush Preview.
