WHAT IS WRONG WITH PHOTOSHOP

Question

I have had photoshop stall on me more times these last few months than in my whole life of using it.

Hue/Saturation make the entire operation freeze and I have to force quit it. Please fix it. Also please go back to the old way of saving. instead of making copys .... why can't we just save over the last file???
