what keys used in retouching beauty images using Mixer brush tool

Please i need help in using the mixer brush tool in photoshop its my first time using it and i am trying to use it for skin retouching. Once i click on the brush i want E.g taking out blemishes dont know which key on my macbook i need to press to start brushing or taking out blemishes using the mixer brush tool or any other tool. Thank you

In this video you will see how to set the mixer brush to do skin retouching using frequency separation,  Pay close attention to the mixer brush setting in this video. This is one of the best tutorials I have seen for frequency separation.
