What the hell with PS and Camera Raw ??

What happen to PS and Camera Raw ?

It's a continuos crash, it's impossible editing, evrey step you do the software it crash!

I try to edit an image in CR and when i used linear filter CR is blocking, i had to restart my PC. This happened for two time in a rowwhit the same command (linar gradient).

After that i tryed to edit in PS, and it crashed after i duplicated the smart object as new layer... it crashed again! Never had this insane issue before!

PS version 25.12

Windows 11 Pro 64 bit

AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core Processor 3.60 GHz

RAM 32GB

GPU AMD RX5700XT

Hey, @nico__tabo. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll need more information to help you figure this out. Please share the system information from Photoshop Help > System info > Copy and paste into a text document > Upload and attach here.

I couldn't find crash reports submitted with the account you've signed in to the community with. If you see a crash dialogue, submit it with your Adobe ID. Check here for more steps: https://adobe.ly/3Wpjx0B

Where are the original files stored, on an internal or external drive? As a first step, before opening any image, go to Edit > Preferences > Camera Raw Preferences > File Handling > Under JPEG & TIFF, set to Disable JPEG Support & Disable TIFF Support to skip invoking Camera Raw when you open any files.

Sometimes, over or under-clocking the GPU, CPU, and RAM causes system-wide instability. Please check the Event Viewer > Windows Logs > Application Logs section on Windows for recent events that point to critical or error reports.

Please try using the latest Photoshop (beta) from the Beta Apps section in Creative Cloud and check if the issue exists.
