Howdy!

I'm batch resizing my images, but after each image the jpg option box appears. Do I need to add a save function into the action for it to close? Please find images below

If the source JPEG files were previously saved in another program before being opened in Photoshop, then Photoshop does not know what compression level and other save options to use, which is why are you seeing that box.

So yes, add a save as step to the action, don't change the filename but set the required save path. Then when using the batch command, you can then use the "override action save as command" tickbox to save to a different location and or filename.
