When deleting layer mask it clips image, how do I change the preference to delete mask and not clip?

Hey Photoshop folk!

I've recently upgraded my system and accidentally set the wrong preference. I downloaded Photoshop onto my new set up and when prompted selected the wrong choice!

When dragging a layer mask into the bin it clips the image instead of just deleting the mask. The workaround is to right click the mask and select delete mask but after many years I am so used to dragging the mask to the bin.

How do I change this preference? Or is it a case of completely deleting and redownloading??

Thanks in advance

Correct answer Mylenium

Go into the preferences --> General and hit the "Reset all dialogs" option. This will bring back all dialogs and allow you to choose.
