When exporting an image, it becomes squished. The display setting is on square so what's wrong?

This is extremely annoying right now if I'm honest. It's something that's happened quite recently but when exporting my illustration it becomes squished and different from what I see in photoshop. I tried checking my display settings but it's on square, and I tried exporting png and jpg but neither help the problem. Here are some images of the change between the two. It's almost not noticeable but it also is and I'm hoping it's not affecting my exported size since I have projects where the canvas needs a certain pixel ratio 😞
