When I export as PNG using 'Layers to Files,' drop shadows are not transparent.

I'm trying to export a set of images using the 'Layers to Files' function. These images have drop shadows, and when I export them in this manner, they are not transparent. There's a thick, white border around the shadow.

On the other hand, if I export the layers individually using the 'Export As...' function, the drop shadows are transparent. Of course, this means I have to do each layer individually, which takes a little more time.

I'm sure there's a setting I'm missing, but I can't figure out what that is for the life of me.

Examples are attached.

When you use Export>Layers to Files are you using PNG-24 with transparency checked?

It looks like from the example file you posted that your using PNG-8 which will give the results your seeing from Export>Layers to Files.

You want to use PNG-24 for transparency in the shadow.

You can select multiple layers in the layers panel and right click and export them in one go as demonstrated here:

Another option would be Generate Assets.
