When logging into photoshop

When logging into photoshop it does not totally load. The sides all load in the bars. But nothing in the middle. It does allow me to open a photo I have loaded, but then I cannot do anything else. Behind the photo is the home screen and then the bars on the sides. 

I loaded this for school and it worked last week, now it won't. I did do a GPU check and it says my driver is out of date and needs updated. When I went in to do that it says I cannot update it. 

Any ideas?
