When moving objects, PS creates a duplicate in the original position

Hi! I am having the most annoying glitch ever. When I move an object it basically duplicates it and leaves another copy in the original position. This duplicate clears once the layers are turned on and off. Is this a setting or a glitch? Please help!

    Go into preferences and deselect legacy compositing and restart Photoshop
