When sending photo from Lightroom to Photoshop image not in full view

With recent upgrades Photoshop 22.1 and Mac OS Catalina 10.15.7 i have a an issue when I send photo from Lightroom to edit in photoshop. Image comes into Photoshop towards the top of the screen, cutting off top half of image. In order to view full image I need to click on Full Screen Mode to view full image. In this view I lose the menu options that normally appear on lower portion of screen (new adjustment layers). Then when I want to save back to lightroom I have to change view back to Standard to send back to Lightroom. How can I fix this?
