When typing in a text layer, my date is changing format automatically

Using the ellipse tool I created a circle path that I am adding text to. When I type March 15, 2024 it automatically changes my text to March 2024, 15.  How do I fix this or have you seen this before?

    I haven't seen Photoshop change the formatting of a date before. I tried to reproduce the issue, but the text for the date stays as I've typed it.

     

    Would you be able to provide more detailed steps of what you did that produced that result?
