Where are Duplicates Saved

Hi Everyone:

I can't find where Ps stores Duplicate files. I'm not referring to Save or Save as but rather to Image> Duplicate. I can't find it with the original and I don't see it in Br after refreshing or Lr after syncing.

The only way that I can revisit the file is by launching Ps> Home> Recent.

Where should I be looking or have I misunderstood what a Duplicate file is?

When you choose Image > Duplicate, it is not stored anywhere physically until you choose File > Save, then you select a location.

When using Image>Duplicate, the file is not saved until you choose Save or Save As. Generally, you should see a saving dialog box appear when you close the duplicated file without saving.
