Question

Where are highlights and shadows sliders for PS 2024

I am in Windows and trying to use PS 2024. Photoshop has a new dashboard and so I went to Adjustents, then single but they have buried highlights and shadows. I could use the curve but would prefer the sliders/ Does anyone know where those have been buried? Thanks

FYI Any time you are hunting for a command or function in Photoshop, click on the magnifer icon to open the Discover panel.  Start typing, and you'll info on how to find it, as well as links to tutorials on how to use it.  It's a useful feature.

Funny that. I have been waiting for them to introduce a short cut that can get you to where you need. Very good

@joelh33703351 – This command was never available as an adjustment layer as other simpler adjustments were.

Are you looking for Image>Adjustments>Shadows/Highlights?

Jeff, do we know if they have updated the old Shadows/Highlights algorithm to the same as those commands in Camera RAW?  My memory of the old function is that it was prety nasty, and would give your image a bad HDR look if pushed too far.  We can go all the way to 11 with the Camera RAW Shaow/Highlights sliders.

Trevor,

As far as i know, Adobe hasn't changed the Shadows/Highlights algorithm since

it was introduced in Photoshop CS (ps ver 8.0).

Though it is a bit more useful now that one can use it as a smart filter.
