there is no "best" here, it's essentially a matter of taste

I'd agree with the advice you've been given 

As Andrew The Digital Dog recommended, a custom profile would be the best way to attain accuracy, but, otherwise I'd recommend standard - vivid will simply adjust the image for you, it's generally best to do that manually in Photoshop IMO. Of course if you love what "vivid " does then it's your decision

Hi, 

I'd suggest that if you want to edit the picture, you're better off using Adobe Standard.  Vivid will add some saturation automatically, which may not be the look that you intend.  Standard should keep things in a more neutral state so that you can edit it the way you want with less effort.  You can always add saturation to Standard but it's more difficult to remove it.
