White tones in RW2 files

I have an acquaintance recommended a subscription to Lightroom. Who was working with outdated software and had problems with the RAW files (Format RW2).
Now it appears that after installing the current Lightroom version, the problems persist. If we move the slider highlights to the left all the white tones come out in a pink colour. What could be the cause of this?
