Why are filters and Camera Raw SO SLOW to LOAD UP????

Running PSCC 21.2 on a fairly beefy machine. Clicking the Filter Gallery menu, or any individual filter on the Filter menu, or launching the Camera Raw filter, takes (I just timed 4 individual instances) 25-35 seconds consistently to launch. Tested image was 6x6", 300dpi, about 9M in size.

Windows 10 Home

Intel core i7 9700 3 GH 8 core processor

32 GB RAM

PS installed on a SSD

NVIDIA GeForce 2060 Graphics Processor

Many of my menus are slow to respond, as well. It took 10 secs to launch Edit > Prefs. > Performance so I could get the model of the GPU. Selecting or deselecting Use Graphics Processor seems to have no bearing on performance.

Ideas? This is agonizing.....
