Adobe stopped supporting AXT fonts (QuarkXpress Arabic Extension) since the release of Adobe CS6, this was announced back then in 2012 or 2011. Having said that, the fonts continued to run but we had always turned off "Missing Glyphs Protection" warnings in InDesign for example to keep the font running.

It is time for you to purchase an OpenType font to benefit from its features, and must not continue with an obselete font that was designed as an English table not Arabic any way that's why when you create a PDF out of your document, you will see that the PDF is unsearchable. The AXT fonts were developed in early 90s for QuarkXpress not for Adobe products.
