Why does my drawing cursor in Photoshop lag behind the ink?

I've been encountering an issue in Photoshop where my drawing cursor is consistently lagging behind the actual ink. It's as though the ink appears with a small delay after the cursor. I've recorded a video to illustrate this.

I've tried adjusting a few settings and checked for any system updates, but so far, nothing has resolved the issue. Any suggestions on what might be causing this and how to fix it would be greatly appreciated.

    @jeee30570197r53e what is the brush smoothing setting set to, it may be higher than the default 10%
