why has my adobe photoshop program disappeared"?

Photoshop is installed on my laptop -- have used it for years -- but when I tried open it today up popped a window asking me to register for a 30 day free trial -- but I already have the program -- and now can't open it

then I discovered that Adobe no longer recognizes my serial #

Any suggestions???????
