Why is the RGB domain of PS a quadrilateral?

In https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/understanding-color-management.html, the RGB domain of PS is a quadrilateral. The RGB domain that I usually see is a triangle, such as sRGB or prophotoRGB. Is there anyone can help explain this issue? Thanks.

That illustration doesn't make any sense, except to show that color spaces of various devices are indeed different.

Just ignore it. An RGB color space is defined by the three primaries, the white point and the tone response curve (plus a few minor details).

What do you mean by »the RGB domain of PS«?

The profile connection space is Lab, if I remeber correctly, so what RGB are you referring to?
