Why Windows Run Command opens most recently installed photoshop ?

Question

I have photoshop cs3 and photoshop cc 2021 both installed on my windows pc. I installed photoshop cs3 first than installed cc2021. When I use run command to start photoshop than cc2021 opens. If i run photoshop cs3 setup file again and than use run command to start photoshop than photoshop cs3 starts..I mean why run command starts the photoshop version which is most recently installed ?
Can I change some settings in programe files so that I could set which version of photoshop should start from run command without reinstalling photoshop software.

That is a Microsoft problem, so you need a Microsoft solutionGo to the Search bar at the top of http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/ to find out how to set file/program associations

This is not about program associations, but it is certainly the case that the most recently installed app will be the one that the Run box runs. This is by design, not a fault. You can pin both versions to the task bar.

WARNING: it is no longer possible to activate CS3. Do NOT uninstall it, you may lose it forever! If you just installed it, and it is running as a trial, make the most of your last few days of using CS3.
