Question

wobbly line after few stokes (wacom, windows)

I use windows 10, wacom cintiq 13 HD touch, photoshop cc 2019, no stabilizer, 0 smoothing, no windows ink, UseSystemStylus 0.

Description:
After drawing for a bit, lines will become like what is shown by the left. i can't draw a smooth line

I noticed that after I just do "alt+tab" to switch to another windows app and "alt+tab" back. The lines are back to normal, without me doing anything except alt+tab ,for a few minutes.

Then the same problem persists. it is quite annoying when you finish drawing and realized that all the lines there are wobbly when zoom in.

Question:

Does anyone have this problem? any idea how to fix it?

I used Photoshop and Wacom Cintiq 24HD. I've been struggling with this for 2 years - I found a temporary fix every time my lines went wobbly. Then I coped this code into cmd (run as administrator):

reg add HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Pen /v LegacyPenInteractionModel /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f

However recently I've found out that I only needed to go to "Wacom Pen Properties" and click on options. Under "Pressure Compatibility" I unchecked the box. It looks like my Cintiq 24HD is working properly now! I'm so happy! I hope one these will work for you too?

Did you get this fixed? If so, could you please share how? I'm experiencing the same lack of line quality after the latest wacom driver update, and it's really frustrating!

Hi thanakorns,

Sorry that you cannot draw properly in Photoshop CC with your Wacom tablet as the drawn lines looks wobbly.

Could you please take a look at the steps mentioned in this article Tablet support for Photoshop on Windows 8 and let us know if that helps?

Thanks,

Akash
