Question

Workspace spills over out of frame after resizing displays

I have two CC versions for some reason, and also CS6. When changing the display sizes in System Preferences > Displays, both versions of CC start showing enlarged views of the workspace that only show a portion of the image and no panels--even after I go back to the usual display size. The Photoshop image can be brought back in using View, but it is not a sticky setting and in any case the full workspace with tabs and the entire right side (panels, layers, etc.) is not visible. This time CS6 was not affected.

I had this problem before and someone here provided an easy fix.

On the mac side click on the Green Maximize button to fit the photoshop windows to the screen.

Yes, that did it. That was the simple solution.

This happened to me on my MBP and I was able to fix it by resetting the workspace or restarting Ps. Give that a try or send over more information about your system

    Hi

If you are using Windows 10, then current versions of Photoshop pick up their user scaling from the Windows display settings, so the UI setting in Preferences does nothing.

Are you setting your Windows scaling to a value that would result in less than the minimum display area for CC (which is 1024 x 768 display with 1280x800 recommended)?

Maybe is a problem related to retina display...

    Please take a look here:

Thanks! Oddly, Safari refuses to open the page: "Safari cannot establish a secure connection."

What operating system are you using?  It makes a difference.  If you are using a Mac, exactly which version is your CS6?

Did you restart Photoshop after changing the display size?

    What is your monitor resolution?

In the newer versions of CC, what is UI scaling set to?

Thanks! Problem was solved. But the information is:

    MacOS Mojave 10.14.3

    CS6 13.0.6 x64

    Monitor 3840x2160

UI Scaling is always Auto in CC 2018, 2019 on Macs.
