New UI wrokflow issues

I am having issues with the workflow in the latest UI update in PSE.    I left a message on teh appstore and they asked to post it here saying that this behavior is not expected.

I have a LG V5 i use for content creation as well as a SamSung Note 20 Ultra 5G.   The app behaves the same way in both.   In the previous UI when working on a group of images from an album when you stopped editing it return back to the album and i can move on to the next image.

in the new UI when i View All and open the album i wish to edit and make an edit when i save and  try to return to the album it takes me back to the home screen.  Support asked me to post a video.  so here it is.
