sharpen doesn’t work…

Question

iphone xr, ios 15.6. I have photoshop express premium and lightroom express... sharpen, and only sharpen... in both applications... doesn't work... i have photoshop on my desktop as well...

full slider move to the right for full sharpen makes no visual change whatsoever on either application... i can use clarity with some success, but is there anything known about this issue i'm having with sharpen?

Hi Charles,

We are sorry for your difficulties. To answer your question:

First, go to Select > Deselect (Cmd+D) to remove the selection you have.

If you make a Smart Object first, the sharpening will be non-destructive and can be edited or removed. Here is the Help page:
