Adobe Premiere Elements 2022/Windows 11.    Making a Timelapse LEGO construct project.  When I import photos from a directory (either on the laptop or external drive) the photos import but do not even kept sequence for date/time!  How can I force proper media date/time sequence within APE 2022?

If you click on Panel Options in the upper right of the Project Assets panel, you can set Sort to creation date. That will put your photos in the right order.

Many times I look for something and never see it under my nose. I have
never had this issue before. And, I’ve loaded thousands of still into
video for Timelapse. The answer you provided works fine. What I did in
the meantime was batch rename my files on Windows 11. That cured my woes
and actually permitted me to custom name which may come in handy. Many
thanks for the response.

I would not import stills into Elements but rather an image sequence.

Make sure the stills are sequential and with a simple name.

Double click in Project Assets window,

Select first image,

check Numbered Stills,

hit OK

Still will come in as a video file.
