Abode Premiere Elements 9

Question

I have been using this software for 6 years now and today I think it crashed my computer. I was trying to render a video and it wouldn't render and gave me the "bad image" microsoft error ever since then and I can't get back into it.

Any ideas why the video won't render? I have had no problems with it until today and when I ran a malware scan, adobe came up flagged as causing problems on my computer.

Anyone know if I need to purchase the latest version to do my video editing since this one is old?

Could be any number of issues.What operating system are you using?What processor do you have and with how much RAM? How much free, clean, defragmented space is on your hard drive? When did you last run Disk Cleanup and Disk Defragmenter?What model of camcorder is your video coming from and what format and resolution is the video?What are your Premiere Elements project settings, as listed under Project Settings under the Edit menu?
