Adobe Premier elements 2018

I have been using Premier elements 2018 to make home bideos for a while but i am finding that it keeps crashing. It also seems so slow that it often plays the sound to one bit and picture freezes or is from a previous part of the clip. I am trying to remake some old home videos and really struggling lately.

Mac or Windows and exactly which version of the operating system?

Did the program work in the past, and have you updated your operating system?

Would be glad to try to help if you can provide more information. Where did the videos come from? What is your computer memory and disk space structure? What are the project settings and how did you arrive at them? What are the audio hardware settings in preferences?
