Adobe Premiere Elements 2020 Not Letting Me Open Files

So, I have Adobe Premiere Elements 2020. I saved a file for a video I was editing to it, took a break from editing for a few days, but when I decided to do some more, it wouldn't let me open the file. Nothing happened. The same thing happened when I tried to click on the video editor button to start a new video. Can anyone explain how to fix this problem?

What do you mean it won't let you open it?

Are you using File/Open to open the file? What is happening when you do?
