Advice please.

Have just purchased Premier Elements 2021 from Amazon. It loads ok but when adding a video the top screen is corrupted with horizontal lines. I then notice that the version I have is the "Upgrade Edition". Does this mean I have to purchase an earlier version or is there an easy fix. I could return the disc to Amazon and repurchase a full one.

The upgrade generally won't install if you don't have an earlier version of the program installed. But if it did, you got the whole program. Having a previous version won't fix what you're seeing.

 

You don't say anything about your computer specs or operating system, but most likely you need to upgrade your graphics card driver by going to the nVidia or AMD site. (Don't trust Windows to do it.) These sites update their drivers and firmware at least once a month.

 

If that doesn't do it, post a screen capture of what you're seeing.
