Amharic writing in Premiere Elements 12 (Windows 10)

Hi,

Im trying to copy+paste amharic writing into Premiere Elements 12, but it can't read the symbols (there are only squares with crosses appearing). I've already downloaded an amharic font (Keyman for Amharic | በአማርኛ ይጻፉ), so I'm now able to type amharic letters, but it doesn't work in Premiere Elements. I've seen that there are websites to change arabic letters into a format which can be read by Premiere, but I couldn't find anything similar for amharic writing. Does anyone have an idea how this could work?
