Question

Anyone know how to make left and right channel audio into one channel/output?

I hope I explain this correct. I'm using Adobe Premiere Elements 2023. I have two DJI Mic 2's, and when they record, the audio tracks are on 2 seperate channles. So one person is the left channel and the other person is the right channel. It is offputting to here it come out of the speakers that way, so is there any way to combine the channels. Like make stereo mono or something like that. I've already tried fill left with right and fill right with left. But it only works for one channel. Whichever one I apply last. Anyone have any thoughts or ideas? Am I missing something? All suggestions I've seen are not present in Adobe Premiere Elements 2023. Maybe they removed them.

In addition to Steve's solution, the DJI Mics can be set to mono or stereo using the controls on the reciever.

You're right. I don't have the receiver because I'm connecting them straight to the Pocket 3 via BT. But I can change it to Mono on the Pocket 3. Just trying to avoid changing it back and forth when filming. But guess I have to because it will all be mono if not by doing the other suggestion. If that makes sense. Thanks again.

I have the same Pocket 3 system (without a separate reciever.)  Other than remembering, it is easy to switch from Stereo to Mono on the ever so tiny menu!  For anyone else reading this, the DJI Pocket 3 video camera is very good, very capable, very different and a lot of fun to use!

There is no audio effect for combining channels in Premiere Elements. However, you can create a custome output that will combine the channels when you Export & Share your movie.

In Export & Share, under Devices,  select Custom and click Advanced Settings.  Leave the Format at H. 264 and the click the Audio tab about halfway down the panel. Under Basic Audio Settings, set Channels from Stereo to Mono.

Once you save and name this preset, you can use it for any future projects.

Thanks! That helps a lot. Makes complete sense. Much appreciated.
