Question

Apply audio effect to multiple clips

I have about 100 clips in a timeline. I want to add an audio effect (like highpass filter) to them all.  If I select all the clips and try to load in an audio effect , it wont let me because I have multiple clips selected.  How do I add an audio effect to all these clips?

I thought maybe if I can merge them all into one giant clip, then it would let me do it.  But I can figure out how to merge them all into one clip.

Do one clip, copy, select all others, Paste Effects.

Beware if the effect is not to you liking you have to remove them one by one.

Why do you need a high pass filter?

You can also export to a wave file.

Put that on the timeline and add the effect.

I need to change the volume of phrases in multiple clips and it's tedious in PE. I had to prematurely finish my video because I couldn't export the audio of selected clips to a WAV. However, the WAV from my whole video has artifacts. Can't this be easier? TIA.
