Audio not transferring into Elements 15

When I open my video from my computer I have audio however, when I transfer the videos to Elements 15 the audio is gone.

    It is not uncommon for the settings in Audio Hardware to be wrong.  For unknown reasons, routine Windows updates can change them and you have to change them again to get audio to work.  

    If that doesn't fix it, what is the source of the video?  What are you using to open play the video when you can hear the sound?  What are the settings in Premiere Elements preferences for "Audio" and "Audio Hardware".
